Refund Policy

100% Kokoda need you to know that having paid a deposit to hold a space on one of our treks, that the balance of your trek payment is due six-weeks prior to the date of travel. If for some reason you can no longer trek or you choose not to trek and it is outside this six-week mark, your deposit and any monies paid towards your trek are fully refundable.

However, should you decide that you no longer wish to trek, or you are unable to trek on the chosen dates and this decision is made within the six-week mark, you have two options available to you, these options are:

Option 1:

Should you still want to trek at a later date, you are able to transfer all payments made to another one of our treks within a 12-month period of the original trek date.

Option 2:

Should you decide that you no longer wish to trek at a later date, or for some reason you are unable to trek within the 12-months that follow, then you will have to use your personal travel insurance to obtain a refund of all monies paid.

100% Kokoda advises that it's in your best interests to obtain travel insurance as soon as possible after placing your deposit, even before if possible; this affords you the best chance of a full refund from your travel insurance provider in the event that you need to take this course of action. Please ensure the policy covers you from the date you depart Australia until the day of your return, and that the policy covers the specifics of your Kokoda adventure, including aeronautical evacuation should it be required.

It is important that you understand the reason that we are are unable to offer you a refund with a notification that you are unable to participate within six-weeks of your trek. This is because at six-weeks prior to the date of your trek, 100% Kokoda has already invested monies paid to facilitate your trek. This investment is made with payments to external contractors to facilitate bookings for your travel, accommodation, charter flights, trekking permits and food. It is for this reason we are not in a position to refund this money to you; your money has been invested in good faith on your behalf. That said, our external contractors provide us with credits, thus we are able to transfer your trek to another date within a 12-month period.

100% Kokoda will contact you seven-weeks prior to the date of your trek date to confirm that you want us to proceed with your booking. This way you have the option to withdraw and refund your invested monies where desired, or you can choose to proceed with your booking.

If you have any questions on our refund policy, please don't hesitate in calling us to discuss. We would rather you ask a question over worrying or having regret. We are here to make this an easy, and exciting process, not a stressful one.
